Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christian Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giurgous Tsotes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christian Rivera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Giurgous Tsotes! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rivera closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rivera lands in his opponent's guard. Rivera drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Tsotes manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rivera has Tsotes in his guard. Rivera is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Rivera is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tsotes is aware though and is defending well. Rivera looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Tsotes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rivera has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tsotes has managed to get both his arms back between Rivera's legs - danger averted. Rivera has his foot on Tsotes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tsotes works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rivera throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Rivera is breathing heavily. Rivera is looking for a triangle but Tsotes pushes his legs off easily.
Tsotes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rivera has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tsotes has managed to get both his arms back between Rivera's legs - danger averted. Tsotes decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Rivera shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tsotes manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tsotes has control of Rivera's left arm, preventing Rivera from doing any damage. Rivera is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tsotes is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tsotes has escaped and now he's on top! Rivera is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tsotes defends well. Rivera has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tsotes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rivera looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tsotes is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rivera looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Tsotes's corner is telling him to maintain position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rivera looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tsotes is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Rivera. Rivera tries to advance to mount but can't. Rivera tries for a kimura but Tsotes is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Christian Rivera dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Tsotes drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rivera tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Tsotes presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Rivera is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rivera tries to roll over but Tsotes keeps him under control. Rivera trying to get back to full guard but Tsotes takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Rivera is trying desperately to improve position. Tsotes controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rivera keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tsotes controlling from the full mount. Rivera sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Rivera is staying active underneath Tsotes, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Tsotes content to control rather than advance. Rivera looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tsotes prevents Rivera from improving his position. Rivera regains full guard. Nicely done. Tsotes trying to control the position from guard on top but Rivera is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tsotes has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rivera is proving hard to escape from. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rivera has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tsotes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rivera is looking for a triangle but Tsotes pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Giurgous Tsotes will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Rivera's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Rivera shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tsotes's guard. Tsotes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rivera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tsotes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rivera pushes down on Tsotes's leg and manages to get into half guard. Rivera is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Tsotes still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Tsotes has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Rivera tries to buck Tsotes off but Tsotes is having none of it. Rivera is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Tsotes off and has taken his back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Tsotes is in a bad position with Rivera working for a choke. Tsotes manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tsotes not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Rivera is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tsotes defends well. Tsotes avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rivera wants to sweep but no luck. Rivera is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rivera gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Tsotes counters with a takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rivera is trying to work for a sweep but Tsotes has mounted him! Rivera working to try and regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tsotes tries to control but Rivera wriggling away.
And that's the end of the fight! Giurgous Tsotes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Tsotes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
