Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tracey St John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Math Lafer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). St John's entrance music is Come Around. A fine choice. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Math Lafer enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tracey St John! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Math Lafer! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St John tries to clinch but Lafer moves out of range. St John checks the leg kick nicely there.
St John wants to clinch up but Lafer keeps it at a distance. Lafer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but St John was well out of range. Poor timing from Lafer. Horrible takedown by St John or perhaps it was just good defense by Lafer which made him look bad. St John tries to close the distance and clinch but Lafer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. St John tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lafer paws at him with a jab and circles away. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as St John checks a leg kick. An inside leg kick lands from Lafer. St John tries to clinch up. St John fails in his attempt to clinch. St John is looking to clinch but Lafer is avoiding it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. St John steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lafer. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. St John moves in looking to clinch but Lafer pushes him off. St John takes a body punch but keeps moving. St John is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

St John ducks under a wild hook from Lafer. Lafer lands a glancing blow to the side of St John's head. Lafer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lafer lands in his opponent's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Lafer postures up and lands a big shot to St John's brow. St John trying to keep a closed guard but Lafer is proving a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lafer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lafer stopping the sweep attempt from St John. Lafer is pushing down on St John's leg trying to pass to half guard. St John is fighting to maintain full guard but Lafer has managed to sneak the leg through. St John has hold of Lafer's hands but Lafer slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Lafer throwing shots but St John is blocking nicely. St John is in trouble now - Lafer has advanced to mount! St John tries to lock up and control but Lafer gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. St John tries to reverse the position but Lafer maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. St John gets back to half guard. Lafer with the ground and pound but St John uses the opportunity to regain guard. Lafer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. St John is keeping the position for now. Lafer is looking to work some ground and pound but St John has wrist control. St John preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lafer distracts St John with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Lafer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. St John swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lafer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with St John. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lafer connects with a couple of short punches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Math Lafer dominated that round. That's time! St John's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

St John wants to clinch but Lafer slips to the side and Lafer counters with a lovely straight right hand! St John tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Lafer counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. St John is looking for a sweep. Lafer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lafer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks St John with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Lafer takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Lafer scoring with strikes to the body and head. Lafer is looking to advance position but St John won't allow it. Lafer is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Lafer is nestled in close to St John, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lafer seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Lafer lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Nice strikes from Lafer there. Lafer trying to control from half guard but St John is working away. Lafer is controlling the pace.

St John blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lafer. Lafer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Lafer scoring with strikes to the body and head. St John wants to control but Lafer is keeping busy and won't allow it. Lafer is nestled in close to St John, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Lafer wants to free his trapped foot but St John is holding on for dear life with his legs. St John regains full guard. Nicely done.

St John swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lafer cracks St John with a solid left hand. Lafer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lafer trying to control but St John is working from the bottom. St John looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lafer is one step ahead there. Lafer wants to pass the guard but St John is keeping the position. Lafer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of St John's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. St John is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. St John wants to stand up but Lafer is controlling the position.
St John is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lafer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time St John. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lafer tries to get to full guard but St John has control of the leg. St John wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lafer keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Math Lafer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Lafer tries to free his leg and advance position but St John is retaining full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lafer trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but St John manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Lafer wants to sweep but no luck.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. St John tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Lafer counters with a straight punch to the midsection. St John wants to clinch and Lafer counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lafer. Lafer won't allow St John to sweep him here. Lafer tries to free his leg and advance position but St John is retaining full guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. Lafer trying to control the position from guard on top but St John is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lafer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. St John lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lafer! Lafer is wriggling around trying to escape.
Tracey St John has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! St John has hold of Lafer's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lafer manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Math Lafer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. St John with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
And that's the end of the fight! Math Lafer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lafer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
