Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, ishmale porterboy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergei Nabokov! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nabokov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nabokov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Nabokov lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nabokov landing punches. Nabokov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. porterboy wants to hold on but Nabokov pushes him away. Nabokov with the ground and pound from mount. porterboy tries to reverse the position but Nabokov maintains control. Nabokov with shots to the head and body - porterboy looks very uncomfortable down there. Nabokov working away from the top, dropping strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee warns porterboy that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
porterboy is bucking up trying to escape but Nabokov cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Nabokov content just to control the position here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Nabokov gets a takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nabokov drops an elbow to the side of porterboy's head. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nabokov in particular looking to stall. porterboy has hold of Nabokov's hands but Nabokov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Ground and pound from Nabokov. porterboy trying to hold on to Nabokov's head to control him but Nabokov postures up.
Nabokov throwing shots but porterboy is blocking nicely. Nabokov controlling the pace. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. porterboy wants to control but Nabokov is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nabokov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

porterboy tries to close the distance and clinch but Nabokov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nabokov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in porterboy's half guard. porterboy trying to hold on to Nabokov's head to control him but Nabokov postures up.

Despite being in the dominant position, Sergei Nabokov just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. porterboy with a lazy takedown attempt and Nabokov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. porterboy is looking for a triangle but Nabokov pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. porterboy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Nabokov controls the pace. Nabokov stands up over porterboy, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Nabokov controlling from the top position. porterboy is looking for a triangle but Nabokov pushes his legs off easily.
Nabokov controls from within his opponent's guard. Let's hope that Nabokov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

No, Nabokov has managed to get both his arms back between porterboy's legs - danger averted. Nabokov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Nabokov tries to clinch but porterboy is having none of it. porterboy darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. porterboy is trying to control the action in half guard but Nabokov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. porterboy is trying to work for a kimura but Nabokov is defending well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. porterboy has his takedown stuffed and Nabokov counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Nabokov. Both fighters are breathing heavily. porterboy keeping moving, preventing Nabokov from controlling successfully. porterboy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nabokov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Nabokov trying to control but porterboy is working from the bottom. Nabokov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Nabokov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. porterboy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nabokov defends it easily. Sergei Nabokov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nabokov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. porterboy throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Nabokov works over porterboy with some ground and pound from guard. Nabokov content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Nabokov stays in close to porterboy's body and controls the position. porterboy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nabokov's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. porterboy drops back looking for a leg! Nabokov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nabokov manages to kick porterboy off! porterboy jumps back into Nabokov's guard. Sergei Nabokov has got the better of the ground game so far. Nabokov is looking to stand up but porterboy isn't so interested in that idea. porterboy looking to pass the guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Sergei Nabokov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Nabokov winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
