Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yusuf Amir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amir has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Big Bear! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yusuf Amir! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bear fails to land with a series of punches.
Amir looks gassed! Bear changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Amir tries to avoid it but Bear manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Amir to the ground. Amir escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Amir defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bear. Bear fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Big Bear. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice takedown defense from Amir. No joy for Bear on that attempt. Bear looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Amir thumps Bear with a low kick. Bear feints and as Amir raises his hands in defense, Bear changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bear trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bear tries to stand but Amir is controlling from the bottom. Amir utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear thows a big elbow that misses. Bear throwing strikes but missing. Bear throwing strikes but missing. Bear postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Bear throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Amir works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bear is defended easily by Amir. Bear shoots in for a takedown but Amir shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Bear throws a series of punches but Amir avoids them all with ease. Amir stuffs the takedown attempt from Bear. Bear gets slowly back to his feet. Amir shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Amir was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Bear is trying to escape the mount.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Amir with the ground and pound from mount. Amir throwing strikes here but Bear is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Bear manages to regain half guard. Good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear is refusing to be controlled, as Amir sits in half guard. Bear flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Amir throwing shots but Bear is blocking nicely. Bear is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Amir pulls his head out easily. Amir wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bear keeps working. Bear manages to get to full guard.
Amir drops back looking for a leg! Bear is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bear manages to kick Amir off! Amir jumps back into Bear's guard. Bear is looking to stand up but Amir isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Bear shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Amir counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Amir. Amir trying to control but Bear is working from the bottom. Bear throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Amir must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bear doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Bear looking to hit a scissor sweep but Amir is one step ahead there. Amir is in close to Bear's body, working some short punches and elbows. Bear utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bear avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bear controls Amir momentarily but Amir frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yusuf Amir dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Amir fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Bear clinches but Amir breaks the clinch and Amir counters with a lovely straight right hand! Bear closes this distance looking for a takedown but Amir circles away. Bear changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Amir tries to avoid it but Bear manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Amir to the ground. Amir escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. No luck for Bear with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Big Bear. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck with that takedown attempt from Bear. Amir shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bear manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Bear tries to strike from the bottom.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Amir postures up and lands a big shot to Bear's brow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Amir! Bear dominating with strikes here. Amir tries to hold on but Bear pushes him away. Bear has hold of Amir's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Amir manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Amir is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Amir is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Bear has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Amir takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Bear trying to control but Amir is having none of it. Bear landing strikes, looking to finish! Bear looking to finish Amir with some ground and pound. This is bad for Amir! Bear sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Bear has control of Amir's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Amir regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear trying to control but Amir is having none of it. Bear throwing strikes here but Amir is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Bear looking to secure an arm triangle but Amir defends it well. Bear postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Amir looks a forlorn figure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bear avoids the attempt from Amir to control. Bear throwing strikes here but Amir is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. BOOM! Bear connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Big Bear dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Bear with a poor takedown and Amir counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Bear makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Danga de danga de dang - Bear scores with a four punch combination!
It looks like Yusuf Amir has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Amir gets caught flat footed, as Bear shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Bear is fighting to break Amir's control of his arms but Amir is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Bear in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bear stops Amir from standing up. Amir looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bear is one step ahead there. Bear cracks Amir with a solid left hand. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Amir swivels though and keeps the full guard. Amir is trying to keep Bear in close.
Bear wants to control from the top but Amir keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bear throws a head kick that misses. Bear shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Amir as he jumps to the side. Bear fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Big Bear. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bear misses with a takedown attempt - Amir sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bear will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bear tries for a takedown but Amir circles away easily and Amir counters with a takedown into side control. Amir trying to control the position but Bear is working away. Bear manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Bear missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Amir keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Amir avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bear. Bear throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Bear missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bear wants to clinch but Amir slips to the side and Amir counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Bear slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Bear wants to stand but Amir is controlling the position. Bear pushes Amir off and gets back to his feet.
Amir closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bear did well to prevent Amir getting side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Amir is looking to take a break and control but Bear is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bear wants to control but Amir is keeping busy and won't allow it. Bear slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Bear keeping moving, preventing Amir from controlling successfully. Bear throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Bear doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Amir is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bear is looking for a triangle but Amir pushes his legs off easily.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Yusuf Amir. I think Amir has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
