Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ray Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson Silva told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Marsh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson Silva! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marsh stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet. Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Marsh tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Marsh to the ground. Marsh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Marsh shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Silva counters with a single leg into guard. Marsh didn't expect that. Silva trying to control but Marsh is working from the bottom. Silva stops Marsh from standing up. Silva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Marsh manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Silva has Marsh in his guard. Marsh gets to his feet. Silva looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Marsh closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marsh decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Marsh closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Silva did well to prevent Marsh getting side control. Marsh wants to take a breather but Silva is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marsh wants to get back to his feet.
Marsh is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Marsh wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva trying to control from the bottom.
Silva is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Marsh's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Marsh's back! Marsh trying to control the hands but Silva won't let him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva throwing wild punches that miss their target. Marsh turns into Silva and is now in his guard.
Marsh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard. Silva wants to stand up but Marsh is controlling him. Marsh slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Marsh shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one. Marsh shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Silva manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marsh looking to pass the guard. Silva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Silva looks gassed! Marsh slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Silva looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ray Marsh dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Marsh avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Marsh scores with a shot to the body.
Silva feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Marsh's calf. Silva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Marsh to score an easy takedown into full guard. Marsh wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Marsh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground. Marsh would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marsh gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Silva tries to clinch but Marsh moves out of range. Ray Marsh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Marsh digs a good hook to Silva's body.
Anderson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Marsh sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Silva is breathing heavily. Silva is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Ray Marsh overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Marsh trying to control but Silva postures up.
Marsh is pressing down on Silva's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Marsh striking off his back but it's not causing Silva any problems.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marsh is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silva defends well. Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marsh has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Marsh's legs - danger averted. Silva wants to get up but he can't break Marsh's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Marsh on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Marsh tries to get out of the position. Silva controlling from the top position. Marsh looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Silva gets to his feet. Marsh looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marsh shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Silva counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Silva. Silva fails to pull guard.
Silva changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Marsh fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Marsh darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Silva is trying to get back to full guard. Marsh sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marsh decides to return to a standing position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ray Marsh dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Silva with a poor takedown and Marsh counters with a takedown into side control. Marsh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working. Silva wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Marsh controlling the position. Marsh laying and praying for a moment but Silva takes advantage and regains half guard. Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Marsh tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Silva.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marsh is working for an americana but Silva has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Marsh was thinking about the submission. Marsh trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Ray Marsh just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown and Marsh counters with a shoot takedown. Silva fights it but they end up in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva looking for a sweep. Not yet Silva, not yet. Marsh stops Silva from standing up. Marsh pushing down on Silva's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Marsh trying to control the pace. Marsh throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Marsh tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Silva trying to control here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marsh with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Marsh stands up and beckons Silva to join him on the feet. Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Marsh moves into the clinch. Ray Marsh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Silva.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marsh pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Marsh gets a clinch. Marsh breaks from the clinch.
Silva is looking to land body kicks. Marsh drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Marsh stands up and we're back to a striking position. Silva with a poor takedown and Marsh counters with a nice double leg into guard. Anderson Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Marsh showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Marsh advances position into side control!
And that's the end of the fight! Ray Marsh showed his dominance in that final round. Well Marsh has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
