Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Huw Pedr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and neil henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). henderson has chosen not afraid as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
henderson swinging wildly here.
henderson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
henderson throws a sloppy head kick and Pedr moves out of range easily.
Pedr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but henderson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
neil henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
henderson fails with an attempt to clinch.
henderson forces Pedr back against the cage and clinches.
henderson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Pedr has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics henderson uses from the top position.
Pedr has an active guard here but henderson has managed to pass into half guard.

henderson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pedr does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

henderson postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pedr to stand up.
henderson tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Pedr counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
henderson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Pedr throwing strikes but missing.
Pedr has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of henderson is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pedr thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

henderson tries to break the clinch but Pedr is controlling the position.
Pedr tries to pull guard but henderson holds him up against the cage and eventually Pedr drops back down to his feet.

henderson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
henderson shoots for a double leg takedown but Pedr sprawls well. He's pushed henderson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
henderson looks gassed!

Pedr is thwarting henderson's attempts to control the position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Pedr wants to get back to his feet.
Pedr is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and henderson defends it well.
It looks like Pedr is going to stand back up.

Pedr wants to stand up but henderson manages to regain full guard.
henderson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Pedr postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
henderson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and henderson duly obliges.
Pedr shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and henderson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pedr's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
henderson lands a couple of decent looking shots.
henderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Pedr is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but neil henderson will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Pedr clinches but henderson breaks the clinch
and henderson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pedr!
henderson trying to control but he's not successful this time.
henderson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Pedr is now in henderson's guard. A big mistake from henderson there, giving up the dominant position!
henderson wants to sweep but no luck.
Pedr gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Pedr takes the fight into the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
henderson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pedr smiles and moves away.

Pedr shoots for a double leg takedown but henderson sprawls well. He's pushed Pedr's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Pedr clinches but henderson breaks the clinch
and henderson counters with a nice double leg into guard.
henderson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
henderson wants to control from the top but Pedr keeps moving.
henderson is stalling in the full guard.
henderson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

henderson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pedr is proving hard to escape from.
Pedr utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
henderson is sitting in close to Pedr's body. Pedr has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! henderson is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, henderson is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Pedr.
