Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cheng Gong Desheng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Heely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marc Heely is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marc Heely!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Desheng dodges the punch combination from Heely.
Desheng throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Heely was covering up waiting for the punch and Desheng finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Desheng controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Desheng thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Desheng content to stall in guard here.
Heely preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Desheng drops back looking for a leg! Heely is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Heely manages to kick Desheng off! Desheng jumps back into Heely's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Desheng prevents Heely from getting back to his feet.
Desheng advances to half guard.
Desheng perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Heely has hold of Desheng's hands but Desheng slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Heely is trying to stand back up but Desheng is controlling him
Desheng is working for a kimura but Heely is defending it quite comfortably.
Desheng seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Heely does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Desheng moves nicely into side control.
Heely looks gassed!
Desheng is trying to get an arm triangle but Heely is defending well.
Desheng sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Heely is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Heely takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Heely is trying to escape the position but Desheng is controlling the position.
Heely is trying to buck Desheng off.

Desheng tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Desheng thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Desheng slows the pace down.
Desheng looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Desheng is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Heely has escaped the position, nice work there.

Heely is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Heely dodges the ground and pound from Desheng.
Desheng tries for a kimura but Heely is defending well.
Heely wants to get back to his feet but Desheng is dominant here and he's now got Heely's back!
Desheng has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Heely has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Desheng blocks a head kick by Heely.
Heely tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Desheng drives through and clinches with Heely against the cage.
Desheng prevents Heely from breaking the clinch.
Desheng gets control of Heely's arms and successfully pulls guard. Desheng will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Desheng is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Desheng drags the fight down to the ground.
Desheng is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Heely has his hands clasped together but Desheng extends an breaks Heely's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Desheng.
