Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Giordano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Rhea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simon Rhea is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Giordano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Rhea! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Giordano fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Giordano is looking to clinch. Giordano throws a head kick that misses. Giordano fails with an attempt to clinch.
Giordano closes the distance and clinches up with Rhea, looking for a takedown. Giordano pushes Rhea against the cage but Rhea circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Giordano tries to clinch there but Rhea circles away.
Nice sprawl there from Rhea as Giordano shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Giordano. That's going to take a lot out of him. Giordano fails to land the takedown. Rhea darts in and clinches Giordano up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Giordano wants to break free but Rhea has control.
Giordano goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Giordano throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rheas head. Rhea landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Giordano is breathing heavily. Rhea breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Simon Rhea is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Giordano tries to clinch up and Rhea counters with a thumping low kick. Giordano tries to keep at a distance but Rhea has taken the fight into the clinch. Rhea with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Giordano tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rhea smiles and moves away.
Giordano darts in trying to clinch and Rhea counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Giordano is lucky that one didn't land flush. Giordano shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rhea as he avoids it easily. Giordano shoots in for a takedown but Rhea shows good takedown defense. Giordano swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rhea counters with a leg kick. Giordano misses with a takedown and Rhea counters by moving into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rhea breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Giordano shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Giordano shoots for a double leg takedown but Rhea sprawls well. He's pushed Giordano's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Giordano avoids the head kick by Rhea.
Giordano looks to clinch and Rhea counters with a big head kick but Giordano shrugs it off. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Giordano with a poor takedown and Rhea counters with a huge head kick that drops Giordano! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!
