Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hardaway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Garrido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardaway comes into the arena with Chino XL's Lyrical Messiah blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Mike Hardaway has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Hardaway! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Javier Garrido! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hardaway rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Garrido moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hardaway takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Garrido fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hardaway manages to avoid it. Garrido tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hardaway was well out of range. Poor timing from Garrido. Garrido throws a lazy right hand but Hardaway sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hardaway throws a head kick but Garrido moves out of range.
Garrido misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hardaway misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Garrido shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Garrido controlling the pace. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Garrido thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hardaway's head. Garrido prevents Hardaway from standing back up.
Garrido looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hardaway with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
It looks like Mike Hardaway has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hardaway is trying to stand.
Hardaway trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Garrido looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Hardaway is looking to get back to is feet but Garrido passes into side control.
Hardaway takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Mike Hardaway's cut is getting worse. Garrido works to advance to full mount. Hardaway defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Garrido with shots to the head and body - Hardaway looks very uncomfortable down there. Garrido lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Mike Hardaway's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Hardaway is breathing heavily. Hardaway is in a horrible position here. Garrido smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Hardaway is rocked!
Jeez, Mike Hardaway's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mike Hardaway's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Javier Garrido!
