The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fisher circles away from the clinch attempt.
Starodubtsev tries to clinch up but Fisher circles away and keeps his distance. Starodubtsev really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fisher misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Fisher avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fisher controlling the pace. Fisher thows a huge punch but Starodubtsev dodges it nicely.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fisher is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Starodubtsev reverses the position - he's now on top in Fisher's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Starodubtsev would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Fisher is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Fisher wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Fisher throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Fisher is pulling down on Starodubtsev's head to control his posture. Spencer Fisher has got the better of the ground game so far. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fisher is on top in guard.
Starodubtsev is looking to stand up but Fisher isn't so interested in that idea. Starodubtsev will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fisher missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Fisher wants to control from the top but Starodubtsev keeps moving. Fisher lands a couple of digs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fisher thows a big elbow that misses. Fisher stops Starodubtsev from standing up. Fisher lands a couple of digs. Starodubtsev utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Fisher trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Fisher throws and elbow that misses. Starodubtsev uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fisher's guard. Nice move by Starodubtsev! Fisher looking for a sweep. Not yet Fisher, not yet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fisher can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Starodubtsev throws and elbow that misses. Fisher uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Starodubtsev's guard. Nice move by Fisher! Fisher postures up in Starodubtsev's guard and throws a big left but Starodubtsev blocks it. Fisher thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Starodubtsev working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Fisher. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fisher postures up in Starodubtsev's guard and throws a big left but Starodubtsev blocks it.
And that's the end of the fight! Spencer Fisher comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Fisher has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
