Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Giles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Zurutuza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Giles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuri Zurutuza!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giles lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Yuri Zurutuza has been cut.
Giles wants to clinch up but Zurutuza keeps it at a distance.
Giles fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Giles drops Zurutuza with a beautiful combination! Zurutuza stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Giles is looking for the KO!

Zurutuza is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Giles throws a head kick but Zurutuza moves out of range.
Giles lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Zurutuza at a distance.
A punch combination from Giles misses.
Giles tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Giles cracks Zurutuza with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Giles lands a big head kick that sends Zurutuza tumbling to the mat! Giles takes a step backwards and waves Zurutuza back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Zurutuza is still on wobbly legs! Can Giles finish him?
Giles changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zurutuza tries to avoid it but Giles manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zurutuza to the ground. Zurutuza escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Zurutuza seems to have recovered his senses.
Zurutuza throws a sloppy head kick

and Giles moves into the clinch.
Giles stalls.
Zurutuza wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Giles gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Zurutuza is looking for a sweep. Giles is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Giles is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Giles connects with a nice short shot to Zurutuza's temple.
Giles is controlling the pace.
Zurutuza is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Giles scores with a couple of nice shots.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Giles in particular looking to stall.
Giles wants to pass the guard but Zurutuza is defending well.

Giles looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Giles looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Zurutuza is not content to let Giles control the position.
Giles working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Zurutuza on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Giles decides to return to a standing position.
Zurutuza looks gassed!
Zurutuza gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Giles counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Giles throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zurutuza.
A left and a right from Giles both land. Nice combination.

That has opened up Yuri Zurutuza's cut even more.

Giles shoots in and bounces Zurutuza off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Giles works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Giles landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Giles winds up and cracks Zurutuza with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Zurutuza on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Giles frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Giles trying to control but Zurutuza is having none of it.

Giles working for a submission but Zurutuza is keeping him at bay.
Giles has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Zurutuza's face.
Giles has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Zurutuza in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Giles pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Giles lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Giles working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Giles controlling his opponent.
Giles breaks from Zurutuza's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Giles postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Zurutuza looks a forlorn figure.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Giles with shots to the head and body - Zurutuza looks very uncomfortable down there.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Giles cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The cut above Yuri Zurutuza's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Giles lands a big shot there that rocks Zurutuza but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Giles takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Zurutuza is in a horrible position here. Giles smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Giles looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Giles lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Giles is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Zurutuza is forced to tap! Great finish!
