Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brick Top (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Cordoba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Top comes into the arena with Killing in the name blaring out of the sound system. Cordoba has chosen English Fire by CoF as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brick Top! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Cordoba! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cordoba misses with a wild body shot. Top ducks under a wild hook from Cordoba. Cordoba lands with a good body shot. Top takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Nice defenses there by Top. Cordoba just misses with a punch to the body.
Top uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cordoba. A swing and a miss from Cordoba. Top connects with the punch. Cordoba pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Top bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Top tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Cordoba is looking to regain half guard here but Top keeps moving and retains side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Top throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Top postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A big left from Top misses. Cordoba cracks a nice hook into Top's ribs. Nice uppercut lands for Top. That snapped Cordoba's head back.
Top walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Cordoba looks to throw the jab but Top is out of range. Top is looking to clinch but Cordoba is avoiding it.
Cordoba closes the distance and clinches. Top lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Cordoba or not. Top blocks an elbow strike from Cordoba.
Cordoba looking to slow down the pace here. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Cordoba. Cordoba being controlled against the cage.

Cordoba landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Top lands a hook that snaps the head of Cordoba backwards. Top misses with a hook from the clinch. Top is struggling to control the position. A short left from Cordoba. Cordoba presses Top against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Cordoba lands a shoulder strike. Top scores with a shoulder strike. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Top lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Cordoba lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Top. Cordoba is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Top lands a body punch. Top looking for a takedown. A short left from Cordoba. Top avoiding damage as Cordoba throws knees to the body.
Cordoba pushes off an throws an elbow but Top leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Cordoba struggles to land a body shot inside as Top controls his hands.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cordoba is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Top is defending well for now. Cordoba trying to control the position but instead, Top has worked for underhooks and has pushed Cordoba into the cage. Top is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Top blocks an elbow strike from Cordoba.
Top digs a right hand into Cordoba's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Cordoba's gas tank. Top has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Cordoba is trying to keep an underhook but Top manages to get the takedown into half guard. Top has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Top performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Top with the ground and pound but Cordoba uses the opportunity to regain guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Top wants to control from the top but Cordoba keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brick Top will probably get the nod. That's time! Top's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Top wants to clinch. Top gets a takedown into half guard. Still in half guard, Top seems content to control. Cordoba is staying active underneath Top, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Cordoba keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Top is keen to just control but Cordoba is a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Top thows a huge punch but Cordoba dodges it nicely.

Top trying to control from Cordoba's half guard. Cordoba has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Cordoba wants to stand up but Top is controlling him.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cordoba throws a looping overhand right but Top ducks down to avoid it. Top decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Top trying to control from half guard but Cordoba is working away. Cordoba won't allow Top to pass to mount. Top trying to control from Cordoba's half guard. Cordoba has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Cordoba is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Cordoba keeping moving, preventing Top from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Top drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cordoba looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cordoba looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cordoba! Top is looking to regain half guard here but Cordoba keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Top struggling a bit here. Top tries to buck Cordoba off but Cordoba is having none of it. Top is working hard here to advance position. Top might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Top throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.

Top swats away the attempt to clinch by Cordoba. Cordoba missing with a left hand there. Top was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A shot to the body from Top misses and Cordoba counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Top wants to clinch. Cordoba throws a shot from downtown. Top moves away and avoids it. Top misses with an uppercut. Cordoba saw that one coming. Cordoba ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Top moves away.

and Top decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cordoba's guard. Top loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Top throws a strike but Cordoba rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cordoba not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Cordoba got a little sloppy there for a moment and Top has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cordoba has managed to get both his arms back between Top's legs - danger averted. Cordoba tries to stand but Top is controlling from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Top tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cordoba trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Top wants to improve his position but instead Cordoba has moved into half guard.

Top is looking for a sweep. Cordoba is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Top looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Top is looking to get back to full guard here but Cordoba has managed to pass to side control instead. Top is working to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Top looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Top tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Top is trying desperately to improve position.
And that's the end of the fight! Alex Cordoba comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Top has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
