Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fyodor Kovalkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jossip Broz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kovalkin has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fyodor Kovalkin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jossip Broz!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kovalkin tries to score a body lock takedown but Broz shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Broz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Broz closes the distance and clinches.

Broz decides to pull guard.
Broz is trying to keep Kovalkin in close.
Broz manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Broz wants to control the pace but Kovalkin is squirming around nicely.

Broz is landing with some decent strikes but Kovalkin is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jossip Broz just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Broz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Broz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kovalkin as he avoids it easily.

Broz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Broz has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kovalkin is trying to keep an underhook but Broz manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Let's hope that Broz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Broz is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kovalkin can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Broz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
BOOM! Broz connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Jossip Broz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Broz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kovalkin's guard.
Broz wants to control from the top but Kovalkin keeps moving.

Jossip Broz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Broz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
