Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, jesus dasilva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hijab Pummel!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pummel darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Pummel is sneakily working for an arm triangle but dasilva sees it coming and defends easily.
dasilva tries to kick Pummel off but Pummel keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
dasilva is trying to maintain the position but Pummel is very close to passing his half guard.
dasilva wants to improve his position but Pummel is controlling well.
dasilva punching from the bottom.
Pummel is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Pummel is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
dasilva wants to control but Pummel is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Pummel tries for a takedown but dasilva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
dasilva's corner calls for a 1-2. dasilva obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
dasilva shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Pummel napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Pummel manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Pummel is pressing down on dasilva's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Pummel is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Pummel looks gassed!
Pummel keeping moving, preventing dasilva from controlling successfully.

Pummel has his foot on dasilva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. dasilva works his way back into a safe position though.
dasilva postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells dasilva's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Pummel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but dasilva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
dasilva gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
dasilva misses with a takedown
and Pummel decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in dasilva's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
dasilva wants to stand and escape but Pummel is having none of it.
Pummel wants to pass the guard but dasilva is keeping the position.
Pummel has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing dasilva to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Pummel is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - dasilva pulls down on the head and he's put Pummel to sleep! This one is all over!
