Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phal Um (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre LePew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LePew is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by It's Raining Men. Pierre LePew will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A swing and a miss from Um.
Um on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Um has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Um there as he acknowledges the shot.
Um avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Um fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
LePew fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Um avoids it really well and circles away.
LePew misses with a low kick.
Um misses with an uppercut. LePew saw that one coming.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Um jabbing away but nothing is landing.
LePew shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Um sprawls well. Um wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. LePew gets slowly back to his feet.
LePew lands a nice hook to Um's body. Um takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
LePew moves out of range as Um strikes.
LePew thumps Um with a low kick.
LePew scores with a jab. Um acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Um checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Um closes the distance and pushes LePew back into the cage.

Um gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
LePew is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Um pulls his head out easily.

Um trying to control the position from guard on top but LePew is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
LePew is looking for a triangle here but Um uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
LePew looks to move to half guard but instead Um has passed into mount! Damn!
Um wants to control the pace but LePew is squirming around nicely.
LePew tries to reverse the position but Um maintains control.
Um looking to control and managing it successfully.

Um winds up and cracks LePew with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Um wants to take a breather but LePew is having none of it.
Um landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

A punch lands to the side of LePew 's head but he takes it in his stride.

LePew wants to land a leg kick but Um is out of range.
Um throws out a loose jab but LePew uses good head movement to avoid it.
Um misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Um misses with a hook.
A nice leg kick lands there from LePew.
A head kick misses from LePew.
LePew throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Um uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from LePew.
Um swings for the body but LePew moves out of range.
Um closes the distance and pushes LePew back into the cage.
Um has LePew pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Um pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending LePew tumbling to the mat - Um dives into LePew's guard.
Um stopping the sweep attempt from LePew.

LePew throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Um escapes and throws LePew's legs to the side, diving into side control!
LePew manages to work his way to half guard, despite Um's best efforts.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Um trying to mount his opponent but LePew defends it.
Um is looking to pass LePew's guard but actually LePew recovers to full guard.
LePew looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Um throwing strikes from guard but LePew blocks nicely.
LePew is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Um controlling from the top position.
Um looking to sit in guard and control but LePew gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Um is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
LePew wants to control from the top but Um keeps moving.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Phal Um will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Um steps to the side to avoid the strikes from LePew.
LePew closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - LePew lands in his opponent's guard.
LePew slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
LePew wants to control from the top but Um keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
LePew looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Um manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. LePew manages to get himself to full guard.
Um trying to control but LePew is working from the bottom.
Phal Um is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Um works over LePew with some ground and pound from guard.
LePew lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Um!

Pierre LePew has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
LePew's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
