Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roope Rautakoura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tony Draco! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Draco scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Draco lands a nice leg kick that just misses Rautakoura's sensitive parts. Rautakoura takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Draco scores with a jab to the jaw. Draco tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Draco misses with a wild combination.
The fight stays on the outside here - Draco looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A bone on bone clash there as Rautakoura blocks the leg kick.
Rautakoura shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Draco defends it nicely. Draco shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rautakoura counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rautakoura keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Draco's head. Draco controls Rautakoura momentarily but Rautakoura frees himself. Draco has his takedown stuffed and Rautakoura counters with a shoot takedown. Draco fights it but they end up in guard. Draco connects with a high kick. Draco tries to clinch and Rautakoura counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Draco's guard now. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rautakoura throwing strikes from guard but Draco blocks nicely. Draco keeping full guard, as Rautakoura tries to pass. Rautakoura has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Draco might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rautakoura kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rautakoura is looking to work some ground and pound but Draco has wrist control. Rautakoura drops back looking for a leg! Draco is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Draco manages to kick Rautakoura off! Rautakoura jumps back into Draco's guard. Rautakoura postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Draco lands with a kick to the temple. Rautakoura shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Draco works over Rautakoura's head and body with a nice combination. Draco shoots and misses and Rautakoura counters with a single leg into guard. Draco didn't expect that. Draco working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rautakoura doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rautakoura manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rautakoura working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Rautakoura might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Rautakoura trying to control but Draco is working from the bottom. Rautakoura loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Draco pulls Rautakoura in close to prevent any damage. Draco is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Draco is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Draco has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rautakoura is working away from the top position though. Draco is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rautakoura is thwarting Draco's attempts to control the position.

Rautakoura is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Draco. Draco fails in his attempt to clinch. Rautakoura dodges the punch combination from Draco.
Draco tries to bum rush Rautakoura with a series of wild strikes but Rautakoura uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Draco lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Draco. Draco lunges at Rautakoura with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rautakoura's hand. Nice body kick from Draco. Draco goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Draco fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Draco looks to land a combination. Rautakoura sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Rautakoura avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rautakoura misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Draco will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Rautakoura got a little sloppy there for a moment and Draco has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rautakoura has managed to get both his arms back between Draco's legs - danger averted. Rautakoura makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
