Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Ruiz!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Blake or perhaps it was just good defense by Ruiz which made him look bad.
Blake looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Ruiz scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Ruiz tries to clinch there but Blake circles away.
Ruiz is looking to clinch but Blake is avoiding it.
Blake moves into range and connects with a jab.
Ruiz lands a left and a right that send Blake crashing to the mat, dazed. Ruiz thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Blake rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ruiz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Blake counters with an outside leg kick.
Blake will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Blake looks to score with a jab to the body but Ruiz is just out of range.

and Blake counters with a thumping low kick.

Blake throws some wild stikes that Ruiz manages to avoid easily.

Blake has control of Ruiz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ruiz regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Ruiz tries to hold on but Blake pushes him away.

Blake avoids the attempt from Ruiz to control.
Blake has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Blake is working for a guillotine from mount but Ruiz frees his head quite easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ruiz connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Blake avoids the body shot from Ruiz.
Ruiz looks to throw the jab but Blake is out of range.
Ruiz tries to move into range but Blake moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Ruiz misses with a straight left.
Blake cracks a nice hook into Ruiz's ribs.
Ruiz throws an overhand right that lands on Blake's shoulder, as Blake tries to avoid the shot.
Ruiz takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Blake fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ruiz checks it well.

Blake shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Blake lands with an uppercut that bounces Ruiz off the cage and back into rage.

Ruiz throws a hook to the side of Blake's head but Blake sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Carlos Ruiz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ruiz throws a series of punches but Blake moves out of range.
Blake fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ruiz.
Blake throws a body kick that misses.
Blake drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Blake has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Blake is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Ruiz is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
