Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Beco Seco!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seco throws a head kick but De la Cruz moves out of range.
Seco misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

De la Cruz shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Seco manages to get to full guard.
De la Cruz would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Seco striking off his back but it's not causing De la Cruz any problems.
De la Cruz works over Seco with some ground and pound from guard.
Seco wants to stand and escape but De la Cruz is having none of it.

De la Cruz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Seco has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, De la Cruz has managed to get both his arms back between Seco's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
De la Cruz throws and elbow that misses. Seco uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in De la Cruz's guard. Nice move by Seco!

and De la Cruz decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Seco's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Seco is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Seco is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Seco is trying to work for a kimura but De la Cruz is defending well.
Seco is keen to just control but De la Cruz is a slippery customer.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Seco works his foot free and advances to mount.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Beco Seco will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


De la Cruz defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Seco.
Seco connects with a high kick.
Seco tries to close the distance and clinch up but De la Cruz swats him away and circles back towards the center.
De la Cruz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

A big head kick from Seco and De la Cruz is sent sprawling to the canvas!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Seco postures up and lands a big shot to De la Cruz's brow.

Seco passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for De la Cruz!

Seco is going oldschool here, as he tries to force De la Cruz to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so De la Cruz shrugs it off.
Seco lands with some strikes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Seco is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! De la Cruz is forced to tap! Great finish!
