The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from The Hammer.
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt.
The Hammer tries to bum rush Gracie with a series of wild strikes but Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The Hammer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gracie.
No joy there for The Hammer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gracie fails to land the takedown.
Mycheal The Hammer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rousimar Gracie.
The Hammer lands with a shot to the body.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt - The Hammer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The Hammer's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and The Hammer duly obliges.
It looks like Rousimar Gracie has been cut.
The Hammer scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
The Hammer lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Gracie can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from The Hammer and Gracie drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by The Hammer.
