Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lance St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noel Rodney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lance St Pierre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Noel Rodney! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Pierre scores with a jab to the body. Lance St Pierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good exchange - St Pierre coming out on top. St Pierre throws a good cross that connects.
Rodney fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. St Pierre sprawls well initially but Rodney persists and gets the takedown into half guard. St Pierre gets full guard. St Pierre wants to stand but Rodney is controlling the position. St Pierre avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rodney won't allow St Pierre to get back to his feet. St Pierre has his foot on Rodney's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rodney works his way back into a safe position though. St Pierre wants to stand up but Rodney is controlling him. St Pierre is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rodney has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rodney tries to free his leg and advance position but St Pierre is retaining full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rodney throws out a powerful jab. A punch combination from Rodney misses. St Pierre misses with a hook. Rodney throws a jab but it's blocked by St Pierre. A slapping body kick lands there for Rodney. This has been an exciting period of action! St Pierre throws a looping overhand right but Rodney ducks down to avoid it. St Pierre lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre throws a series of punches but Rodney avoids them all with ease. St Pierre keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rodney misses with a combination
letting St Pierre counter with a right hand. St Pierre showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rodney.
Rodney looks gassed! St Pierre lands a two punch combo.
St Pierre throws a combination. Rodney tries to block but a couple of punches get through. A jab from St Pierre misses. St Pierre throws a right hand that misses
and Rodney counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. St Pierre just misses with a punch to the body.
St Pierre connects with a crisp jab. St Pierre throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rodney on the side of the head. St Pierre fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rodney looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Rodney takes a shot to the body in his stride.
St Pierre cracks Rodney with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. St Pierre swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
St Pierre fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rodney manages to avoid it. St Pierre throws a poor cross that misses
so Rodney counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This has been an exciting period of action! St Pierre pulls Rodney in close to his closed guard and prevents Rodney from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. St Pierre looking for a guillotine here but Rodney defends easily.
Rodney postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. St Pierre is controlling Rodney's posture. St Pierre manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rodney manages to get himself to full guard.
St Pierre stands and steps away. Rodney gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. St Pierre connects with a high kick. The crowd cheers as St Pierre lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rodney doesn't seem phased though. St Pierre throws a series of strikes that have Rodney backpedaling.
Rodney is rocked! St Pierre scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Rodney is still on wobbly legs! Can St Pierre finish him? St Pierre closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Rodney! St Pierre dives in looking to finish! Rodney is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lance St Pierre!
