The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaines shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ebonhand's guard.
Ebonhand looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Gaines is looking to work some ground and pound but Ebonhand has wrist control.

Gaines shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ebonhand as he avoids it easily.

Despite being in the dominant position, Bendekar Ebonhand just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
