Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Carlton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sung Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sung Kim struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The key to victory for Nick Carlton has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Carlton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sung Kim! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kim shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Kim is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kim stops Carlton from getting back to his feet.

Kim thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kim working over Carlton with some ground and pound. Carlton looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Kim is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kim is looking for a kimura but Carlton is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kim to get the leverage. Kim looks gassed!

Carlton kicks Kim off and gets back to his feet. Carlton fails in his attempt to clinch. Carlton tries to clinch but Kim moves out of range. Carlton wants to clinch. Carlton is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kim shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carlton sprawls well. Carlton wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kim gets slowly back to his feet.

Carlton throws a hook but Kim avoids it easily. Carlton wants to clinch up but Kim keeps it at a distance. Carlton is looking to clinch. Carlton throws a wild body kick that Kim sees coming a mile off. Carlton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A nice combination there by Carlton.
Carlton throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Carlton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A punch combination from Carlton misses. Nick Carlton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Nick Carlton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sung Kim. Kim tries to pull guard but Carlton holds him up against the cage and eventually Kim drops back down to his feet.

Kim jumps guard but Carlton stands there with Kim around his waist. Kim gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kim manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Carlton is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Kim has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Carlton is looking to defend but Kim has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Carlton! Kim pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Carlton taps out and this one is all over!
