Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kira Yamato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksandr Fedorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kira Yamato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aleksandr Fedorov! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fedorov dodges the punch combination from Yamato.
A looping hook to the body misses from Yamato. Fedorov does a little dance to reset his feet. Yamato swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Yamato throws a lazy right hand but Fedorov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Yamato misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fedorov.

Fedorov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Yamato throws out the jab. Fedorov slips a straight right by Yamato. Yamato slaps away a takedown attempt from Fedorov, before circling back to the center of the mat. Yamato connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Fedorov's hands. Fedorov is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Yamato throws a big shot that misses. Yamato throws an overhand right that lands on Fedorov's shoulder, as Fedorov tries to avoid the shot. Yamato fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Yamato throws a hook to the side of Fedorov's head but Fedorov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Yamato throws a looping overhand right but Fedorov ducks down to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamato throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Yamato misses the shot to the body. Yamato is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Fedorov's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Fedorov blocks a jab. Fedorov moves out of range as Yamato strikes. Fedorov shoots in looking for a takedown. Yamato tries to sprawl out of it but Fedorov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Yamato manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Yamato thows a left - swing and a miss! Yamato wants to clinch but Fedorov slips to the side and Fedorov counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Fedorov. Fedorov works over Yamato with some ground and pound from guard. Yamato wants to stand up but Fedorov is controlling him. Fedorov advances to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fedorov stalling. Yamato knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fedorov on the ground. Fedorov is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Fedorov throwing shots but Yamato is blocking nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fedorov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yamato keeps working. Fedorov wants to stand up but Yamato is controlling the position.
Fedorov throwing shots but Yamato is blocking nicely. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Fedorov throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Yamato is trying to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Fedorov content to control rather than advance.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Fedorov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Yamato sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kira Yamato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksandr Fedorov. Yamato tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Fedorov paws at him with a jab and circles away. Yamato throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Fedorov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Yamato defends it nicely. Yamato tries to clinch up. Fedorov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Fedorov looks gassed! Yamato falls off balance throwing a combination
and Fedorov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kira Yamato will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Yamato drops Fedorov with a beautiful combination! Fedorov stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Yamato is looking for the KO!
It looks like Aleksandr Fedorov has been cut. Yamato lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fedorov at a distance.
This has been an exciting period of action! Yamato fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Fedorov out cold! Brutal finish!
