Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fabio Sosa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richard Ramirez! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jonathan Paton and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sosa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ramirez's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ramirez keeping full guard, as Sosa tries to pass. Sosa drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ramirez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sosa has Ramirez in his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ramirez works over Sosa with some ground and pound from guard. Sosa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ramirez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ramirez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ramirez is in close to Sosa's body, working some short punches and elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sosa throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Ramirez stands and steps away. Sosa gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Ramirez clinches with his opponent.
Ramirez manages to break the clinch.
Ramirez has his takedown stuffed and Sosa counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sosa is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ramirez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sosa. Sosa is trying to work for a kimura but Ramirez is defending well.
Sosa is breathing heavily. Ramirez pushes Sosa off looking to stand but Sosa dives back in and keeps control.
Sosa is working for a submission of some sort.
Sosa is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ramirez sees it coming and defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sosa is looking for a kimura but Ramirez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sosa to get the leverage. Ramirez kicks Sosa off and gets back to his feet. Ramirez takes the fight into the clinch. Ramirez is working for takedown but Sosa is calmly controlling the position for now. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ramirez creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Sosa gets underhooks to prevent Ramirez's takedown attempt.
Fabio Sosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Ramirez. Ramirez manages to pull guard.
Sosa has gone for a leg lock! Ramirez slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sosa's guard. Ramirez postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sosa is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ramirez defends well. Ramirez loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ramirez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Ramirez wanted to stand there but Sosa had control of the position. Ramirez stands up over Sosa, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Ramirez throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Sosa pushes a forearm under Ramirez's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Ramirez is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Fabio Sosa!
