Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gregg Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valentine kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Shutterbug by Big Boi. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Lou da Vinci and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Valentine.
A punch lands to the side of Fisher 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Fisher throws a wild body kick that Valentine sees coming a mile off.
Fisher walks into a left hand.
Valentine lands a jab.
Valentine bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Fisher's head backwards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Valentine misses with the combination.
Fisher swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Valentine throws a series of punches but Fisher avoids them all with ease.
A big right from Fisher misses.

Valentine shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Valentine works his foot free and advances to mount.
Valentine is landing with some decent strikes but Fisher is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Fisher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Valentine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fisher has given up his back. Will we see Valentine going for some submissions?

Valentine looking to break Fisher's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Fisher remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Valentine will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Valentine lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Valentine.

Valentine is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Fisher knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Fisher for a finish.
