Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Long Duc Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hayashi Kurihara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kurihara comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Time To Say Goodbye kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Long Duc Dong has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Long Duc Dong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurihara scores with a three punch combo!
Dong waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Kurihara.
Dong shoots in looking for a takedown. Kurihara tries to sprawl out of it but Dong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kurihara manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dong.
Kurihara lands with an uppercut that bounces Dong off the cage and back into rage.
Dong misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Long Duc Dong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dong doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Dong is breathing heavily.
Kurihara closes the distance and clinches.
Kurihara lands a shoulder strike.
Kurihara throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Dongs head.
Kurihara blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Dong pulls guard effortlessly.
Dong has his foot on Kurihara's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kurihara works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kurihara scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Kurihara is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Kurihara throws a strike but Dong rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Dong seems to have got his legs back now.
Kurihara doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Dong wants to pass the guard but Kurihara is keeping the position.

Dong thows a big elbow that misses.
Kurihara throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dong looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kurihara shoots in but no luck this time.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Long Duc Dong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dong closes the distance and clinches up with Kurihara, looking for a takedown. Dong pushes Kurihara against the cage but Kurihara circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dong misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dong ducks right into an uppercut from Kurihara.
Dong shoots in for a takedown but Kurihara shows good takedown defense.
A solid leg kick lands there for Kurihara.
Kurihara swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dong counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kurihara wants to sweep here but Dong controlling him for the moment.
Kurihara utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kurihara can't keep his opponent in guard - Dong advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Dong stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Dong gets a clinch.
Dong will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kurihara up against the cage.
Kurihara prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dong jumps guard.
Dong is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kurihara stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dong swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kurihara works over Dong with some ground and pound from guard.
Dong trying to control the position.
Dong wants to sweep but no luck.
Dong working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kurihara doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kurihara manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Dong looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dong had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kurihara is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Dong Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kurihara's back instead.
Kurihara tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Dong has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Kurihara is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
