Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elrond Of Rivendell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Majin Vegeta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Of Rivendell kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is May it be. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Of Rivendell moves in looking to clinch but Vegeta pushes him off.
Vegeta changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Of Rivendell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Vegeta remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Of Rivendell might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Let's hope that Vegeta has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Despite being in the dominant position, Majin Vegeta just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vegeta shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Of Rivendell pinned against the cage. Of Rivendell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Vegeta throws a front kick aimed at Of Rivendell's knee but Of Rivendell avoids it well.
Of Rivendell fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vegeta sprawls well initially but Of Rivendell persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Well, if Of Rivendell is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Of Rivendell is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Vegeta reverses the position - he's now on top in Of Rivendell's guard.
Vegeta seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Vegeta has gone for a leg lock! Of Rivendell slips out almost immediately though and dives into Vegeta's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Of Rivendell wants to control but Vegeta is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Of Rivendell is desperately trying to improve his position but Vegeta has a good base and remains in mount.

Elrond Of Rivendell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Of Rivendell tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Of Rivendell has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Vegeta throws a lazy right hand but Of Rivendell sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Of Rivendell shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Of Rivendell was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well Of Rivendell has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
