Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scott Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wandy Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Go to sleep. Wandy Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smith.
Smith closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Silva misses with a two punch combination.
Silva moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off.
Smith shoots in but Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Silva wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance.
Silva misses with a few strikes there.
Smith swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Silva dips to his left and cracks Smith with an uppercut!

Silva lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Silva dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Smith. That did some damage!

Smith is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Silva doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Smith.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Smith stalling away here and it's allowed Silva to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Smith drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!
Silva stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smith circles away quickly and effectively.
Smith swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Smith fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Silva drives through and clinches with Smith against the cage.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Smith is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Silva is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silva wanted to stand there but Smith had control of the position.
Smith is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Smith wants to take a breather but Silva is having none of it.
