The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ahmad scores with a takedown into Banner's guard.

Banner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ahmad gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ahmad drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Banner manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ahmad has Banner in his guard.

Ahmad uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Ahmad closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Banner looks gassed!

Ahmad is trying to work for a kimura but Banner is defending well.

Ahmad is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Banner to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Banner shrugs it off.

Ahmad throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Banner has his hands clasped together but Ahmad breaks the hold and Banner is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Ahmad!
