The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka moves forwards but Mayama connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Mayama lands with a right hand.
Takumi Mayama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Takumi Mayama has been cut.
Mayama tries to lock up and control but Tanaka gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Tanaka prevents Mayama from getting the reversal.
Mayama is bucking up trying to escape but Tanaka cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Tanaka lands a big shot to the head and Mayama winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
