The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerns is looking to clinch but Lawerence is avoiding it.
Kerns shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lawerence as he jumps to the side.
Lawerence tries to clinch but Kerns moves away
and Kerns counters with a nice body shot.
Kerns circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kerns shoots in for a takedown but Lawerence shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kerns misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lawerence checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Kerns really is a fat lump.

Lawerence closes the distance and clinches.
Lawerence throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Lawerence creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kerns's defenses.

It looks like Jake Kerns has been cut.
Kerns takes an elbow to the temple.

Jake Kerns's cut is getting worse.
Lawerence lands a damaging elbow.

Jeez, Jake Kerns's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jake Kerns's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
