Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Merker Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tourette Syndrome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Merker Junior! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tourette Syndrome! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Syndrome misses. Syndrome throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Merker Junior shoots in for a double leg but Syndrome sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Syndrome throws a series of punches but Merker Junior avoids them all with ease. Syndrome fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Merker Junior shoots in but no luck this time. Merker Junior pushes Syndrome up against the cage in a clinch. Syndrome stops a takedown attempt from Merker Junior.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Merker Junior. That's going to take a lot out of him. Syndrome is leaning against Merker Junior and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Merker Junior is trying to drag Syndrome to the mat but Syndrome just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's one minute gone in the round. Syndrome utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Merker Junior won't allow Syndrome to sweep him here. Syndrome is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Merker Junior wants to control from the top but Syndrome keeps moving. Syndrome had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Merker Junior defends it easily. Syndrome keeping full guard, as Merker Junior tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Syndrome utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Merker Junior closes this distance looking for a takedown but Syndrome circles away. Syndrome swings for the body but Merker Junior moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Syndrome misses with a series of wild punches.
Tourette Syndrome is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Syndrome throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Merker Junior changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Syndrome tries to avoid it but Merker Junior manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Syndrome to the ground. Syndrome escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Syndrome throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Merker Junior shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Syndrome's guard. Merker Junior controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Merker Junior slips nicely into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Merker Junior in particular looking to stall. Merker Junior wants to lay and pray for a moment but Syndrome keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Merker Junior passes the guard and advances to mount! Merker Junior working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Syndrome slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Merker Junior is nestled in close to Syndrome, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Merker Junior moves into full mount! Syndrome won't be happy about that! Merker Junior jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Syndrome is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Syndrome and Merker Junior has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Syndrome wants to control but Merker Junior postures up. Merker Junior has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Syndrome is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Merker Junior yanks on the arm and Syndrome is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Merker Junior.
