The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bowell swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Benson Henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Henderson throws a nice looking combination but Bowell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bowell gets the takedown into side control.
Bowell thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bowell happy to just control the position for now.
Bowell wants to control but Henderson is keeping him busy.
Bowell tries to advance position but instead Henderson slips a leg back in to half guard.
Henderson is looking to escape.

Bowell is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bowell frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bowell controlling the pace for now.
Bowell looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bowell thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Bowell misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bowell is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Henderson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Bowell working for a guillotine from mount but Henderson is in no mood to give up.
Bowell wants to control the pace but Henderson is squirming around nicely.
Henderson can't escape the position.
Bowell is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Henderson is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Henderson flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Bowell anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Henderson and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Bowell slips an arm under Henderson chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Bowell has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Bowell is squeezing on Henderson like an anaconda would it's prey. Henderson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
