Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Homer Simpson !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Paul!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul shoots in for a takedown but Simpson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Simpson scores with a jab to the jaw.
Paul is trying hard to land a takedown here. Simpson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Simpson checks a leg kick.
Paul takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Paul fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Simpson slaps away a takedown attempt from Paul, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Homer Simpson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Paul.

Simpson lands with a straight right. Paul didn't see that one coming.
Simpson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Paul on the side of the head.
Paul shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Simpson but Simpson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Nice uppercut lands for Simpson . That snapped Paul's head back.
Simpson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Simpson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Simpson wants it to stay on the feet.
Good leg kick by Simpson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Simpson lands a left and a right that send Paul crashing to the mat, dazed. Simpson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Peter Paul has been cut.
Simpson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Paul is still on wobbly legs! Can Simpson finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Simpson digs a good body shot into Paul's ribs.
Simpson throws a quick inside leg kick.
Paul seems to have recovered his senses.

Paul is trying desperately to land a takedown but Simpson is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Paul.

Simpson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Paul sprawling to the canvas! Paul rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Simpson finish him?!
Paul closes this distance looking for a takedown but Simpson circles away.

Simpson lands with a hook. Paul tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Simpson connects with a crisp jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Simpson , as that shot connected.
Simpson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Simpson cracks Paul with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Simpson lands a nice shot that snaps Paul's head back.
Paul takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Simpson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Paul. Paul circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Simpson lands a nice shot that snaps Paul's head back.
Good exchange - Simpson coming out on top.

Simpson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Paul takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Paul takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Simpson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Paul. That did some damage!

Paul's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Simpson thuds his right hand into Paul's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Paul moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Simpson throws a sloppy head kick and Paul moves out of range easily.

No joy there for Simpson , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Both fighters circling a little - Simpson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Paul is defended easily by Simpson .

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Paul might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Simpson has got the better of the exchanges.

Paul seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Simpson shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Paul is backing up but Simpson catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Paul covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Simpson Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Homer Simpson !
