Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kryler Crimson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Screech Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers defending well as Crimson loads up on a big left hand.
Powers connects with a nice looking jab.

Powers feints and as Crimson raises his hands in defense, Powers changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Powers is looking to work some ground and pound but Crimson has wrist control.
Crimson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Powers trying to control the position from guard on top but Crimson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Powers postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Powers has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Crimson keeping moving, preventing Powers from controlling successfully.
Crimson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Powers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crimson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Powers is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Powers throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Powers is thwarting Crimson's attempts to control the position.
Crimson tries to kick Powers off but Powers keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Powers trying to mount his opponent but Crimson defends it.

Powers wants to control but Crimson is keeping him busy.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Powers is looking to clinch.
Crimson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Crimson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Powers lands with a cross.
Crimson jabs Powers right on the nose. Powers blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Screech Powers has been cut.
Powers throws a lazy right hand but Crimson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Powers stalks Crimson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Crimson's face. Crimson staggers backwards, shaken.
Powers lands a nice hook to Crimson's body. Crimson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Crimson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Good shot there by Powers.
Powers fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Crimson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Powers gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Crimson prevents a body shot from Powers.
Crimson trying to control the position but instead, Powers has worked for underhooks and has pushed Crimson into the cage.
Crimson prevents a takedown attempt there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Crimson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Powers wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Crimson throws a hook but Powers blocks it.
Powers scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Crimson looks to score with a jab to the body but Powers is just out of range.
A solid leg kick lands there for Powers.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Crimson scores with a hook to the body. Powers takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Powers is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Powers wants to control from the top but Crimson keeps moving.
Powers throws and elbow that misses. Crimson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Powers's guard. Nice move by Crimson!
Crimson won't allow Powers to sweep him here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Powers keeping moving, preventing Crimson from controlling successfully.
Powers controls Crimson momentarily but Crimson frees himself.
Crimson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Powers's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Crimson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Powers can pounce on him.
Kryler Crimson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Crimson clobbers Powers with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Powers closes the distance and clinches.
Powers works on Crimson's body with a couple of short punches.
Crimson tries to circle away but Powers has him pinned against the cage.
Powers has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Crimson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Crimson blocks a body shot from Powers.

Powers is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Crimson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Kryler Crimson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Screech Powers.
Powers lands a shoulder strike.

Crimson tries to circle away but Powers has him pinned against the cage.
Crimson is trying to break free.
Powers pushes Crimson back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Crimson breaks from the clinch.
Powers takes one on the button.

Crimson throws a looping overhand right but Powers ducks down to avoid it.
Crimson lands an overhand right.
Powers digs a good hook to Crimson's body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Powers defending well as Crimson loads up on a big left hand.
Crimson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Powers sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Powers cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Crimson tries to bum rush Powers with a series of wild strikes but Powers uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kryler Crimson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Powers clinches up with Crimson and pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Powers drops down looking for an ankle pick but Crimson pulls his leg out and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Screech Powers will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Powers throws a leg kick but Crimson sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Crimson misses with a combination

and Powers moves into the clinch.
Powers tries to score a body lock takedown but Crimson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

and Powers counters with a stiff right hand.
Crimson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Crimson there as he acknowledges the shot.

Powers connects with a right hand. Crimson shakes it off.
Powers moves out of range as Crimson strikes.
Powers steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Crimson.

Crimson looks to score with a jab to the body but Powers is just out of range.
Crimson misses with a straight left.

Powers clinches.

Powers has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Crimson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Kryler Crimson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Powers throwing sloppy strikes.

Powers is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Powers controlling the position well here. Crimson rolled but Powers kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Crimson is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.
Screech Powers is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Powers.

Crimson misses with a hook. Powers ducked under it nicely.
No joy there for Crimson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kryler Crimson is winning the standup battle so far.

Powers shoots in and bounces Crimson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Powers accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

I've got Powers winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
