Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jony Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirill Stein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jony Boy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kirill Stein!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Boy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Boy takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Stein defending well as Boy loads up on a big left hand.
A jab from Stein does it's job there.
Boy throws a push kick but Stein slaps the foot to one side.
Boy looks for a takedown but Stein sprawls well.

Stein closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Stein pulls guard effortlessly.
Stein keeping moving, preventing Boy from controlling successfully.
Stein seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Stein looking to control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stein can do anything to dispel that myth.
Stein wants to stand up but Boy is controlling him.
Stein pulls Boy in close to prevent any damage.
Boy preventing the sweep.
Boy stands and throws Stein's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Boy trying to control the action but Stein is working from the bottom.
Boy advances to mount.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Stein wants to hold on but Boy pushes him away.
Boy wants to control the pace but Stein is squirming around nicely.
Stein tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Stein is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Boy is staying active.
Boy tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.

Boy is breathing heavily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stein tries to reverse the position but Boy maintains control.
Boy manages to capitalize on a mistake by Stein to take his back!
Stein wants to control his opponent's hands but Boy gets his hands free.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Boy's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
You can see the frustration on Stein's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Stein trying to control the action but Boy just sinks the hooks in.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


No luck for Boy with that takedown attempt.

Stein gets a clinch.
The referee calls for Stein to work.
Boy looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Stein blocks a body shot from Boy.
Stein effectively controlling the action here.

Stein pulls guard successfully.

Stein has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Boy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Boy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Boy throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Stein tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Boy trying to stand up but can't free himself from Stein's guard.
Stein wants to improve his position but instead Boy has moved into half guard.
Stein is looking to control Boy's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stein avoid being mounted?
Stein keeping hold of Boy's head, controlling as best he can.
Stein wants to sweep but Boy has passed to side control!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Boy wants to stand but Stein is controlling his arm.
Stein tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Boy trying to control the position but Stein is working away.
You can see the frustration on Stein's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Boy dodges the punch combination from Stein.

Stein scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Stein really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Boy takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Stein tries for a kimura but Boy is defending well.
Stein is staying tight to Boy's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Stein sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Boy is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stein lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Boy stops Stein from passing to mount.
Boy throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.

Stein thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Stein forces Boy back against the cage and clinches.

Stein pulls Boy into guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Stein is controlling Boy's posture.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kirill Stein showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!



Stein closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Boy to the mat! Boy manages to get full guard.

Boy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stein is one step ahead there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Stein slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Stein wants to control from the top but Boy keeps moving.

Despite being in the dominant position, Kirill Stein just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A right-left combo lands from Stein.

Stein goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Boy rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Stein's guard! Nice work there by Boy!

Stein has his foot on Boy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boy works his way back into a safe position though.

Stein is looking for a triangle here but Boy uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Boy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stein, who protects the arm well.
A bit of a lull in the action here.

Boy is looking to take a break and control but Stein is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Stein struggling a bit here.
Stein is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Boy tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Stein tries to get back to half guard but can't.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Stein looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Boy!

Kirill Stein comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stein has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
