Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Impaler stuffs the takedown attempt from Pinto. Pinto gets slowly back to his feet.
Pinto shoots in for a takedown but Impaler shows good takedown defense.
Pinto gets caught flat footed, as Impaler shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Pinto utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Pinto wants to control from the top but Impaler keeps moving.

Impaler escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pinto gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Impaler shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pinto manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Pinto throws his legs up looking for a submission but Impaler uses it to pass to side control.
Impaler is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pinto knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Impaler drops back looking for a leg! Pinto is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pinto manages to kick Impaler off! Impaler jumps back into Pinto's guard.

Impaler is pushing down on Pinto's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pinto is fighting to maintain full guard but Impaler has managed to sneak the leg through.
Impaler passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Pinto!
Impaler is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Pinto can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Impaler has control of Pinto's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pinto regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Pinto srikes from the bottom but he's lost position and has given up his back.
Pinto is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Impaler off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Will Impaler go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
