Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Thales Moreno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Matt Cahill!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moreno misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A head kick from Cahill lands but Moreno takes it in his stride.
It looks like Thales Moreno has been cut.
Moreno is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Moreno loads up on a big right hand but Cahill slips the punch.
Moreno drops his hands momentarily and Cahill takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cahill drops Moreno with a beautiful combination! Moreno stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Cahill is looking for the KO!
Moreno is rocked!
Moreno looks to score with a jab to the body but Cahill is just out of range.
Oh Moreno is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Moreno steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cahill.
Moreno seems to have got his legs back now.
Cahill cracks Moreno on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Moreno falls backwards against the ropes. Cahill follows up with more strikes that drop Moreno to his knees. Cahill keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Moreno! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matt Cahill!
