Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mata moves into the clinch.
Mata tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Boy is trying to force a seperation but Mata has the dominant position.
Mata pushes Boy back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Mata works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
A nice right hand lands inside from Mata.
A nice left hand lands by Mata.
It looks like Tom Boy has been cut.
Boy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Mata scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Mata lands a hook that snaps the head of Boy backwards.
Mata breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Boy throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Mata on the wrong end of a nice jab.
A head kick misses from Boy.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Boy.
Boy misses with a double jab.
Mata avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mata connects with a looping right hand.
Boy looks gassed!
Boy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mata rushes Boy and presses him up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mata scores with a shot to the side of Boy's head.
A nice right hand lands inside from Mata.
Mata breaks from the clinch.
Mata closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Mata creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Boy with a big uppercut! Boy tries to clinch up but Mata pushes him back against the cage and lands another moster strike that crumples Boy to the mat! Boy covers up and Mata unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jose Mata!
