Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shane Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay Scott!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Scott.
Scott ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carter moves away.
Nice uppercut lands for Scott. That snapped Carter's head back.

Carter decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Carter seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Scott is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Carter is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Carter wants to pass to mount but Scott is defending the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Carter stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Scott connects with a body shot.
Scott throws a right hand that Carter ducks under and follows up with a left that Carter also avoids with ease.
Carter dodges the punch combination from Scott.
Scott rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Carter moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Carter shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Carter showed some decent athleticism there.
Carter tries to stand but can't do so whilst Scott controls his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carter prevents Scott from improving his position.
Scott trying to control here.
Scott is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Carter takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Carter stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Scott to get to his feet.
Scott throws a hook but Carter avoids it easily.
Carter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Scott as he avoids it easily.
Scott chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Carter takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Carter has a takedown stuffed.
Scott doesn't manage to clinch there - Carter circles away.
Carter throws a lazy right hand but Scott sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Carter moves into range and connects with a jab.
Scott misses with a series of wild punches.
Jab from Scott.
Scott misses with a looping right.
Scott takes a swing at Carter's ribcage but misses.
Scott jabs at Carter's body.
Scott fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Carter misses with an uppercut.
Carter closes this distance looking for a takedown but Scott circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Carter is trying hard to land a takedown here. Scott sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Carter is breathing heavily.
Scott tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Carter misses with a looping left.

Carter gets a takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Scott trying to hold on to Carter's head to control him but Carter postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shane Carter dominated that round.
That's time! Carter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Scott throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Scott ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Carter thows a left - swing and a miss!
Carter walks into a straight right hand from Scott.
Scott's corner calls for a 1-2. Scott obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Scott lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


Carter is rocked!


It looks like Shane Carter has been cut.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Scott engages and cracks Carter with a massive lead left hook - Carter tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Scott is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jay Scott!
