Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ruki Pushki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Victor Drago has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ruki Pushki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Victor Drago!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pushki has taken the fight to the clinch.

Pushki successfully pulls guard.
Drago trying to control the position from guard on top but Pushki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Drago is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Drago wants to control from the top but Pushki keeps moving.
Pushki might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Drago stands up from guard. Let's bang!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Drago tries to clinch but Pushki moves away

and Pushki counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pushki.

Drago's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Pushki has Drago up against the cage in a clinch.
Drago is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Pushki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Pushki holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Pushki lands a right hand that snaps the head of Drago backwards.
Pushki working hard to break the clinch.
Pushki lands a hook to the side of the head.
Drago tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pushki has Drago pressed against the cage, preventing Drago from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Drago tries to break the clinch but Pushki is controlling the position.
Drago has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pushki avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Ruki Pushki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Drago.
Drago tries to stall but Pushki uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Pushki gets control of Drago's arms and successfully pulls guard. Pushki will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Drago has gone for a leg lock! Pushki slips out almost immediately though and dives into Drago's guard.

Pushki stands and steps away. Drago gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Pushki moves into the clinch.

Pushki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pushki tries to clinch but Drago moves away
and Drago makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Drago changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pushki looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Drago works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Drago trying to control the action but Pushki is working from the bottom.
Pushki pushes Drago away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Drago gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Drago decides to stand back up. Drago steps back and let's Pushki get back to his feet.
Pushki is looking to clinch but Drago is avoiding it.
Pushki tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Drago paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Drago misses with a body punch

and Pushki counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Drago has had enough of the clinch but Pushki keeps him there for the moment.
Drago is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Drago is trying to force a seperation but Pushki has the dominant position.
Pushki wants to get back to striking at distance but Drago won't allow it.
Drago struggles to land a body shot inside as Pushki controls his hands.
Drago tries to circle away but Pushki has him pinned against the cage.
Drago keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pushki's efforts to push away.

Pushki breaks the clinch.
Drago tries to clinch but Pushki moves away

and Pushki holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Drago keeps control of Pushki as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Drago misses with a hook from the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ruki Pushki dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Drago gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Pushki moves into the clinch.

Pushki manages to break the clinch.
Drago lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pushki circles away quickly and effectively.
Pushki is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Victor Drago is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pushki blocks a leg kick.

Pushki takes the fight into the clinch.
Drago tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pushki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Drago tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Pushki counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Drago misses with a leg kick

and Pushki counters by moving into the clinch.
Drago tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Pushki avoids it.
Drago can't break the clinch.
Drago is looking to break free of the clinch but Pushki has double underhooks.
Drago jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pushki walks away with a smile on his face. Drago gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Victor Drago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pushki tries to clinch
and Drago counters with a three punch combo that has Pushki backing up. Pushki nods at Drago to acknowledge the strikes.

Drago pushes Pushki up against the cage in a clinch.

Drago manages to break the clinch.
Pushki blocks a head kick by Drago.
Drago lands with an uppercut that bounces Pushki off the cage and back into rage.
Drago shoots and misses
and Pushki counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Drago tries to clinch but Pushki moves away
and Pushki counters with a low kick, right behind Drago 's knee.
Pushki avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Drago wants to clinch
and Pushki connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Drago tries to clinch up

and Pushki counters by moving into the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Drago manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Drago tries to throw a body punch but Pushki avoids it by throwing Drago back against the cage.

Pushki scores with a shot to the side of Drago's head.
Pushki gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Drago.
Ruki Pushki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Drago.
Pushki fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Drago tries to pull guard but Pushki won't allow it.
Drago is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Drago tries to work over Pushki's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Pushki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pushki tries to clinch there but Drago circles away.

Pushki moves into the clinch.
Pushki is looking to break free of the clinch but Drago has double underhooks.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Drago has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Pushki regains guard immediately.
Drago wants to pass the guard but Pushki is keeping the position.
Drago advances position into side control!

Drago is trying to get an arm triangle but Pushki is defending well.
Pushki is trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Victor Drago showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Drago takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Pushki has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Drago regains guard immediately.
Pushki throws a big right hand that misses.
Pushki loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Drago pushes a forearm under Pushki's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Pushki is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:03 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Victor Drago!
