Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kap Hwan Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rob Magalesh! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Magalesh avoids it really well and circles away. Lee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Magalesh tries to avoid it but Lee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Magalesh to the ground. Magalesh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Magalesh tries for a takedown but Lee circles away easily so Lee counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Magalesh working for submissions but it's allowed Lee to get to half guard.
Lee thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lee is trying to control the action in half guard but Magalesh is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Magalesh is pressing down on Lee's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lee's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Magalesh avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Magalesh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working. Lee tries to get to full guard but Magalesh has control of the leg. Magalesh seems to be working for a kimura but Lee defends the submission attempt. Lee tries to kick Magalesh off but Magalesh keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lee changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Magalesh looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Magalesh is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Lee landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Magalesh manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Magalesh is looking for a kimura but Lee is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Magalesh to get the leverage. Lee makes his way to full guard, as Magalesh worked for a kimura.
Magalesh won't allow Lee to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kap Hwan Lee dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Lee drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Magalesh is trying to control Lee's posture but Lee avoids it. Magalesh tries to improve position but can't. Lee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Magalesh keeps working. Magalesh is looking for a sweep. Lee is chipping away with strikes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Magalesh taking punishment in the form of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Magalesh on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Lee in side control, throwing shots but Magalesh defends. Lee working the ground and pound. Magalesh is trying to improve his position. Magalesh tries to control but Lee manages to take his back. Magalesh is in bad spot here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lee scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Magalesh trying to control the action but Lee just sinks the hooks in. Oooh a big shot gets through from Lee. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Lee has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Magalesh keeping full guard, as Lee tries to pass. Magalesh has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Magalesh working for submissions but it's allowed Lee to get to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Magalesh looking for subs from the bottom but Lee mounts him! Magalesh is looking to get to half guard. Magalesh is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Lee with good strikes from the mount here! Lee with a couple of short strikes. Lee avoids the attempt from Magalesh to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kap Hwan Lee dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Lee gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Magalesh counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lee is trying to stand up here but Magalesh is controlling him well. Magalesh missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Magalesh is looking to take a break and control but Lee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Magalesh seems to be looking for submissions.
Magalesh wants to free his trapped foot but Lee is holding on for dear life with his legs. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Magalesh is working for a submission of some sort.
Lee on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lee tries to get out of the position. Magalesh is working for a kimura but Lee is defending it quite comfortably.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lee instigates a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lee gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Magalesh regains guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Magalesh sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Magalesh is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Magalesh kicks Lee off and gets back to his feet. Kap Hwan Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lee shoots and misses and Magalesh counters with a single leg into guard. Lee didn't expect that. Lee keeping moving, preventing Magalesh from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee is trying to keep Magalesh in close.
Magalesh stands and throws Lee's legs to the side, diving into side control. Magalesh tries to move to mount but Lee blocks the move with his legs. Kap Hwan Lee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Magalesh is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lee has escaped the position, nice work there. Rob Magalesh has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Magalesh looks up at the clock and then as Lee takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Magalesh smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
And that's the end of the fight! Rob Magalesh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Lee has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
