Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Declan Walker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Repa Diipadaa! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker lands a jab-cross combination. Declan Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diipadaa throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Walker. Walker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Diipadaa swats him away and circles back towards the center. Walker tries to land a front kick but Diipadaa steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Diipadaa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Diipadaa swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Walker counters with a three punch combo that has Diipadaa backing up. Diipadaa nods at Walker to acknowledge the strikes. Diipadaa tries to bum rush Walker with a series of wild strikes but Walker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Walker misses with a double jab
and Diipadaa counters with a left and a right that stings Walker. Diipadaa swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Walker. Diipadaa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Walker moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Walker clinches but Diipadaa breaks the clinch and Diipadaa counters with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diipadaa darts in and out, connecting with a jab. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Walker is defended easily by Diipadaa. Walker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Walker is defended easily by Diipadaa. Diipadaa tries to bum rush Walker with a series of wild strikes but Walker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Diipadaa works over Walker's head and body with a nice combination.

Diipadaa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Walker circles away quickly and effectively. Diipadaa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Walker counters by clinching up. A frustrated look appears on Walker's face as he tries to break the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diipadaa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Walker throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Walker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Diipadaa keeps the fight on the outside. Diipadaa falls off balance throwing a combination
and Walker counters with a leg kick. Diipadaa misses with a wild combination.

Diipadaa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Walker circles away quickly and effectively. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Walker misses with a hook. Diipadaa ducked under it nicely. Diipadaa lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Diipadaa. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Repa Diipadaa dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diipadaa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Diipadaa swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Walker counters with a nice double leg into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Diipadaa holds on and takes a little breather. Walker trying to control but Diipadaa is working from the bottom. Diipadaa not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Walker has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Diipadaa can't keep his opponent in guard - Walker advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Diipadaa avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Walker. Walker throwing shots but Diipadaa is blocking nicely. Diipadaa trying to control but Walker postures up.
Walker trying to advance position but Diipadaa counters by regaining guard. Diipadaa is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diipadaa throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Walker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Walker stands and throws Diipadaa's legs to the side, diving into side control. Walker tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Walker tries to move into full mount but can't pass Diipadaa's legs. Walker tries to stand but Diipadaa controls the position and pulls Walker into his guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Diipadaa has his foot on Walker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Walker works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Declan Walker dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Diipadaa throws a combination that misses and Walker counters with a nice leg kick. Diipadaa clobbers Walker with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Diipadaa thuds his right hand into Walker's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Walker throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Walker shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Diipadaa counter with a right hand. Diipadaa might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Walker misses with a jab, cross combination.
Walker takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Diipadaa misses with a double jab
and Walker counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Diipadaa's guard now. Walker working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Diipadaa avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Walker looking to pass the guard. Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but Diipadaa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walker wanted to stand there but Diipadaa had control of the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Walker tries to free his leg and advance position but Diipadaa is retaining full guard. Diipadaa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Walker is aware though and is defending well. Walker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diipadaa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Walker has managed to get both his arms back between Diipadaa's legs - danger averted. Walker wanted to stand there but Diipadaa had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker wants to pass the guard but Diipadaa is keeping the position. Walker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diipadaa on the ground. Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but Diipadaa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Walker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Walker wants to control from the top but Diipadaa keeps moving. Diipadaa keeping full guard, as Walker tries to pass.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Declan Walker. I think Walker has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
