Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Bradley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Travis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Travis's choice of entrance music: The Dragon. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Shawn Bradley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Anderson Travis!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bradley gets the takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Travis is looking to regain half guard here but Bradley keeps moving and retains side control.
Travis is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Travis manages to get back to half guard.

Travis is defending against the submission attempts here by Bradley.
The fighters are battling for position here. Travis manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Travis is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Travis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bradley looking to sit in guard and control but Travis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Travis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Bradley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Travis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bradley swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Travis pulls guard.

Travis has his foot on Bradley's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bradley works his way back into a safe position though.
Travis looks gassed!
Bradley wants to control from the top but Travis keeps moving.

Bradley drops back, looking for a kneebar! Travis looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Travis looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Travis!
Travis tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Travis taking a break here but Bradley is having none of it and regains half guard.

Travis is working for a submission of some sort.
Travis tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Bradley.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anderson Travis dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Travis throws a series of punches but Bradley moves out of range.
Bradley shoots in looking for a takedown. Travis tries to sprawl out of it but Bradley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Travis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bradley chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Travis lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

and Bradley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Travis's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bradley stays in close to Travis's body and controls the position.

Bradley has gone for a leg lock! Travis slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bradley's guard.

Travis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Travis drops back looking for a leg! Bradley is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bradley manages to kick Travis off! Travis jumps back into Bradley's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Travis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bradley working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Travis.
Travis controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Travis has gone for a leg lock! Bradley slips out almost immediately though and dives into Travis's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bradley postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Travis is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bradley, into his guard.
Bradley can't keep his opponent in guard - Travis advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Bradley is defending against the submission attempts here by Travis.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bradley trying to control here.
Travis thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Shawn Bradley will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Travis swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Travis misses with the combination.
Travis wants to clinch

and Bradley counters by moving into the clinch.

Travis pulls guard successfully.
Bradley looking to sit in guard and control but Travis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Travis advances position into side control!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Travis wants to take a breather but Bradley manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Travis.

Travis trying to control but Bradley is working from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Travis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Travis stands up from Bradley's guard - Travis perhaps looking for a knockout.
Anderson Travis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bradley has Travis up against the cage in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Travis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Travis misses with a takedown

and Bradley moves into the clinch.
Bradley has Travis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Travis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bradley has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Travis avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Travis is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Bradley is looking to advance position but Travis has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Travis lands a heavy elbow.
Travis tries to control but Bradley wriggling away.
Bradley is trying to reverse the position but instead Travis has taken his back - oops!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Travis lands strikes to the head.
Bradley staying busy and making it hard for Travis to control.

Travis working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Anderson Travis has got the better of the ground game so far.

Bradley defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Travis's arms.

Travis looking to break Bradley's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Bradley remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Travis will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

And that's the end of the fight!
Anderson Travis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Travis has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
