Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kris Napiera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Fickett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brad Fickett told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fickett is trying hard to land a takedown here. Napiera sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Fickett throws a body kick that misses. Napiera misses with a leg kick. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fickett is defended easily by Napiera. Napiera scores a takedown into full mount! Fickett tries to buck Napiera off but he can't manage it. Napiera will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fickett wants to control but Napiera is having none of it. Fickett really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Fickett swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Napiera controlling his opponent. Fickett has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Napiera wants to control but Fickett has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Napiera is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fickett sees it coming and defends easily. Fickett has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Napiera is working away from the top position though. Fickett is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Napiera pulls his head out easily. Napiera prevents Fickett from improving his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fickett throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Napiera content to control rather than advance.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Fickett gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Napiera rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fickett moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fickett throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Napiera wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Napiera slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Napiera really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fickett shoots and misses and Napiera cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kris Napiera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brad Fickett. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Fickett looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Fickett scores with a jab. Napiera is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Napiera scores with a nice head shot. Napiera thuds a left hand into Fickett's body. Napiera uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Fickett has time to react. Fickett misses with a takedown attempt and Napiera counters with a left to the body. Fickett looks gassed! Napiera blocks a head kick by Fickett.
Napiera drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Napiera stands up and beckons Fickett to his feet. Napiera tests Fickett's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Napiera is defended easily by Fickett. Napiera lands a glancing blow to the side of Fickett's head. Fickett with a lazy takedown attempt and Napiera cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Fickett misses with a takedown attempt and Napiera counters with a nice body shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Napiera closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Napiera lands in his opponent's guard. Napiera trying to control the position from guard on top but Fickett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Napiera seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fickett misses with a straight left. Napiera closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fickett to the mat! Fickett manages to get full guard. Fickett throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Napiera controlling from the top position. Napiera's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Fickett working for submissions but it's allowed Napiera to get to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Napiera slows the pace down in half guard. Fickett is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Fickett looking for submissions off his back. Fickett is refusing to be controlled, as Napiera sits in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fickett tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Napiera has advanced to mount. Uh oh. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Napiera looking to secure an arm triangle but Fickett defends it well. Fickett is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Napiera is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Fickett to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Fickett shrugs it off. Napiera looking for a guillotine from mount but Fickett is having none of it. Fickett is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Fickett is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Fickett is looking to improve his position but Napiera isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fickett tries to buck Napiera off but Napiera takes his back! Fickett looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Napiera controlling well, preventing Fickett from escaping the position.
Napiera tries to get the hooks in deep but Fickett pushed the leg off. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fickett wants to get back to his feet. Napiera working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fickett tries to clinch there but Napiera circles away.

And that's the end of the fight! Kris Napiera showed his dominance in that final round. Well Napiera has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
