The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tayona throws out a loose jab but Curwin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Tayona swats away the attempt to clinch by Curwin.
Curwin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Tayona shoots in and bounces Curwin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Curwin wants to hit a switch here but Tayona passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Curwin there!
Tayona throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Curwin tries to hold on but Tayona postures up.
Tayona has control of Curwin's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Curwin regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Tayona postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Curwin looks a forlorn figure.
