Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Lacy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alfonso de Asis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lacy comes to the cage accompanied by The Final Countdown. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeff Lacy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alfonso de Asis!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from de Asis.
de Asis throws a right hand that Lacy ducks under and follows up with a left that Lacy also avoids with ease.
de Asis throws a low kick but it's checked well by Lacy.
Lacy closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. de Asis did well to prevent Lacy getting side control.
Lacy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but de Asis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Lacy stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
de Asis misses with a few strikes there.
Lacy shoots in but de Asis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
de Asis throws a series of punches but Lacy avoids them all with ease.

de Asis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
de Asis throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Lacy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Lacy moves into the clinch.
Lacy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lacy is defended easily by de Asis.
Lacy clinches.
Lacy fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeff Lacy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lacy wants a takedown.
Lacy is breathing heavily.
de Asis is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
de Asis is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Lacy is keeping busy.
Lacy jumps guard but de Asis stands there with Lacy around his waist. Lacy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

de Asis wants to break free but Lacy has control.
Lacy is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Lacy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lacy looks for a takedown but de Asis sprawls well.
Lacy fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
de Asis scores with a nice head shot.
de Asis lands a left and a right that send Lacy crashing to the mat, dazed. de Asis thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Jeff Lacy has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
de Asis connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Lacy is rocked!
de Asis lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Lacy falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Alfonso de Asis!
