The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finashenkov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. ze tries to avoid it but Finashenkov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag ze to the ground. ze escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Finashenkov shoots for a double leg takedown but ze sprawls well. He's pushed Finashenkov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Finashenkov dives in and grabs ze's left leg, looking for a takedown. ze pushes down on Finashenkov's head and hops out.

Finashenkov misses with a two punch combination.
ze fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Finashenkov checks it well.

ze is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

ze is bucking up trying to escape but Finashenkov cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Finashenkov has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. ze doesn't defend quickly enough and Finashenkov has managed to lock this one up! Can ze escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Finashenkov on a fantastic submission victory.
