Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lumpiot Paskaks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Zhirinovsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lumpiot Paskaks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Zhirinovsky!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paskaks throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zhirinovsky's waist but Zhirinovsky gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Paskaks off to one side.
Lumpiot Paskaks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paskaks looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Zhirinovsky rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Paskaks moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Zhirinovsky should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Paskaks fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Paskaks is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Zhirinovsky doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Paskaks.

and Paskaks counters with a nice double leg into side control. Zhirinovsky won't be happy with that.
Zhirinovsky is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Paskaks has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Zhirinovsky bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Paskaks tries to keep at a distance but Zhirinovsky has taken the fight into the clinch.
Zhirinovsky is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Paskaks ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Paskaks no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Zhirinovsky wants to get up but he can't break Paskaks's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Paskaks escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Zhirinovsky gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Paskaks looking for a sweep. Not yet Paskaks, not yet.
Paskaks trying to keep a closed guard but Zhirinovsky is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Paskaks controls Zhirinovsky momentarily but Zhirinovsky frees himself.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Zhirinovsky throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Paskaks works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Zhirinovsky wants to get up but he can't break Paskaks's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Paskaks shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Paskaks throws out a loose jab but Zhirinovsky uses good head movement to avoid it.

Zhirinovsky throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Paskaks was covering up waiting for the punch and Zhirinovsky finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zhirinovsky tries to stand but Paskaks is controlling from the bottom.

Zhirinovsky gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Vladimir Zhirinovsky will probably get the nod.
That's time! Paskaks's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Paskaks gets caught flat footed, as Zhirinovsky shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Zhirinovsky would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Paskaks manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Zhirinovsky manages to get himself to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Zhirinovsky is looking to stand up but Paskaks isn't so interested in that idea.

Paskaks lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Zhirinovsky!
Zhirinovsky's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Paskaks is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Zhirinovsky is surviving well by controlling Paskaks's body position as best he can.
Zhirinovsky is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Zhirinovsky is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Zhirinovsky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Paskaks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Paskaks has control of Zhirinovsky's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Zhirinovsky regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Vladimir Zhirinovsky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Paskaks throws a right hand that Zhirinovsky ducks under and follows up with a left that Zhirinovsky also avoids with ease.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zhirinovsky throws a front kick aimed at Paskaks's knee but Paskaks avoids it well.

Zhirinovsky lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Paskaks circles away quickly and effectively.

Zhirinovsky closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Zhirinovsky lands in his opponent's guard.

Well Zhirinovsky has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
