Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, John Cash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Martin Jones! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jones showed some decent athleticism there. Cash is trying to stand up here but Jones is controlling him well. Jones takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Cash wants to get back to his feet.
Cash blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones. Cash looks like he's trying to stand up.
Jones landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jones controlling the pace. Jones wants to take a breather but Cash is having none of it. Cash is trying to stand back up but Jones is controlling him
Jones passes the guard and advances to mount! Cash on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cash tries to get out of the position. Jones looking to secure an arm triangle but Cash defends it well.

Cash somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Cash wants to clinch. Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jones is looking to clinch. Jones fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Cash darts in trying to clinch and Jones counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jones. Cash with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Jones tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cash smiles and moves away.
Nice sprawl there from Cash as Jones shoots in. John Cash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martin Jones. Jones looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cash gets a clinch. A shot in the inside from Jones. Jones looking to throw knees to the head but Cash is blocking nicely.

Jones pulls guard. Cash is looking to stand up but Jones won't let him. Jones is trying to keep Cash in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cash! Cash wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cash takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Jones tries to control but Cash wriggling away. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Cash wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones trying to control but he's not successful this time. Cash is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Jones lands a big elbow. Cash trying desperately to get to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jones controlling the position easily from mount. Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cash is looking to escape. Jones is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Cash can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Jones lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Cash hang on? Jones stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. A head kick misses from Jones. Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Cash circles away.
Cash tries to clinch and Jones moves into the clinch. Jones wants a takedown.
Jones is looking to break free of the clinch but Cash has double underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Martin Jones dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!

Jones is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Cash has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Jones pushes Cash off and scrambles back to his feet.
Jones works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. A punch combination from Jones misses. Jones swings for the body but Cash moves out of range.

Jones changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cash fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Cash is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea. Cash trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Jones wants to control from the top but Cash keeps moving. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Cash swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Cash darts in trying to clinch and Jones moves into the clinch. Cash wanted to stand there but Jones had control of the position. Jones looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jones wriggles free and stands up. Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Cash which made him look bad. John Cash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martin Jones. Cash wants to clinch but Jones slips to the side and Jones counters with a nice double leg into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Cash wants to get back to his feet. Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cash does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cash is trying to stand.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cash darts in trying to clinch and Jones counters with a head kick. That will keep Cash thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! John Cash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cash tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance. Cash tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Cash fails with a takedown attempt. Cash closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Jones can't do much from the bottom here. Cash has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cash's waist but Cash gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side. Cash drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Jones working for a triangle but Cash defends it easily.
Cash wants to stand but Jones has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Cash stands up from guard. Let's bang! Cash closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Cash connects with a knee to the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones throws an elbow but it's blocked.

A close second round but Martin Jones will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Cash is pressed up against the cage. Jones has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cash down to the mat. Cash avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Cash darts in trying to clinch and Jones counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jones. Jones showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Jones lands a couple of digs. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Cash is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Cash takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones prevents Cash from escaping the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jones stands up and we're back to a striking position. Jones has Cash up against the cage in a clinch.

Cash will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Cash is looking to stand up but Jones won't let him. Martin Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. Cash stands up and waves to Jones to follow him. The fight moves into the clinch position. Cash landing knees to the body.

Jones shoots for a takedown but Cash saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jones scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jones has knee on belly and moves into mount. Cash's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cash is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cash is trying to stand up. Cash is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Jones has taken his back! Cash is trying to stand back up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones tries to keep control of the position but Cash is staying busy. John Cash has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cash preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Jones.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Cash. I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
